They are wizards at reading the room and need the flexibility to play the right song at the right time to keep the energy high. If you just want someone to hit “play” on a pre-made Spotify list, we might not be the right fit - we're here to be active, expert crowd-pleasers who craft the perfect flow to make your day unforgettable!

Your wedding soundtrack should be perfect for you, and your dedicated DJ will make sure they honor both lists faithfully to keep your vibe flawless and the entire day feeling exactly like you planned!

  • Yes, absolutely! We welcome your guests' requests because we want everyone to feel included in the party! While your DJ is primarily focused on reading the crowd and sticking to your agreed-upon vibe and style, they are fantastic at trying to work in those requested tunes at just the right moment. If a song request fits the energy and won't clear the dance floor, your DJ will gladly drop it in. They are skilled at balancing spontaneity with keeping the perfect party flow going strong!

  • Absolutely! We love a good travel adventure! If our availability aligns with your date, we are happy to pack our gear and bring the party to you, wherever your dream celebration is happening. Just keep in mind that for those destination dance parties, we'll need you to cover the travel and lodging costs. Let us know where you're headed - we're ready to spin!

This includes crystal-clear sound systems (think premium speakers for a full, rich sound), professional mixers, high-quality wireless and wired microphones for perfect vows and toasts, and top-tier dance floor lighting. We invest in the best equipment - and have backups ready - so you get killer audio quality without any hiccups, keeping your dance floor energized from the first slow dance to the final epic singalong!

  • Great question! Since each of our DJs can only rock one amazing wedding per date, we recommend booking as soon as you have your venue locked in. Most couples book us between 9 to 18 months out, especially for those highly popular Saturday dates in peak season. Think of it this way: the sooner you lock us in, the sooner you can check this huge item off your list, relax, and start dreaming about that packed dance floor!

  • Not to worry! In case of a major emergency (car accident, alien abduction, etc.), we will have an equally experienced and talented backup DJ on call who is prepared to step in and keep everything on track!

  • Yes, that’s us! Transmission can be heard on The Current every Saturday at 7:00am Central, and we regularly play major gigs at First Ave, such as the annual rockin’ New Year’s Eve party. Transmission also spins at the Uptown VFW in Minneapolis every Wednesday from 8:00pm-12:00am Central.
